Welcome to our website

John Hinchcliffe and Wendy Barber formed their partnership to design and produce ceramics and textiles in 1983 and quickly established themselves as a force in the market. They became known for traditional shapes and distinctive hand-decorated pieces, often in blue and white, offerering a welcome change from the ceramics available at that time.

Hinchcliffe and Barber ceramics went on to sell internationally through major stores, including Harrods, Harvey Nichols and the John Lewis Partnership in the UK, Lord and Taylor and Barney's in New York, and Isitan in Japan. Their work has also featured extensively in leading style magazines.
